Sometimes when we talk in public or in conference rooms, we come across some problems in our speech and we don’t feel fully confident about ourselves and we don’t think that we can deliver the message that we’re trying to send the best way we should and could.
That makes us very unstable and while trying to come back from hole that we just dug, we fall in deeper and deeper, until we lose ourselves and the whole project is gone. There are a few steps that you should master before trying to speak in public or to a small group of people. I hope these are useful tips and that you can and will use them.
The first one is ACCEPTANCE
If you don’t know what to do because you are frightened, don’t beâ€¦ Even the best speakers can make mistakes or get panicky in some situations. That fear comes just from your head and you must learn to accept it, conquer your fears by ignoring them or use them to give yourself more energy to deliver speech.
The Second one is PREPARATION
When you are making a public speech, it is obvious that you’ll take some time to prepare yourself. Don’t even try to go out in public and bring some random, unprepared speech to the table, because if you are nervous, that will have a huge effect on you and your brain will just block in one second. Practice makes it perfect!
Memorize this: PRACTICE! No one is born with a gift and practice is a big part of success. Practice in front of your friends, relatives, it doesn’t matter. What is important is to get that relaxed feeling in front of other people.
