It’s understandable that you are going to want to save money in as many areas as possible when planning your wedding, but there are certain areas that you cannot afford to scrimp on if you want to provide memorable big day for you and your guests. Obviously the wedding is about the two of you getting married and spending the rest of your lives together but hopefully you are going to only do this the once so there are some things you can afford to go all out on.
Whereas you could cut costs on things like the favours and homemade invitations; here are the areas which you shouldn’t be afraid to splash the cash.
Apart from the fact that they got to share in your special day the lasting memory of your wedding for most people will be where it was held. This doesn’t mean that you have to break the bank and fly the whole family halfway around the world just so you can give them the wow factor, but it does mean that the venue should have the ability to leave a lasting impression in their minds. The best way to do this is through one of two things; beauty or unconventionality. If the venue is visually stunning or a place that no one will expect it is sure to leave a lasting memory.
Although it might be difficult to find inexpensive rings in the first place; with something as symbolic as this you really don’t want to be cutting corners. If everything works out the way it should then your ring will be a constant reminder of the one you love and the special day that brought you together, and if you do it on a budget you may end up regretting it further down the line.
Now the chances are that you won’t have to do much persuading to get a bride to splash the cash on her dress but this should apply to the suit hire as well. Even if you aren’t going to keep the suit it should still be something you would be proud to have in your wardrobe.
After all, the bride’s dress is only going to be worn once too but it just so happens she gets to keep it forever. The photographs are going to offer a window into your wedding day for as long as you have them and so if you arrange the attire on a low budget then you could look back and wonder why.
If there’s one sure-fire way to create a room full of passive-aggressive guests it’s by giving them below par food or none at all. It’s part of the human condition that we all get a bit grumpy when we haven’t eaten properly and although your polite guests will tell you it’s fine; you can be sure they are hiding their distain behind their empty stomachs. There’s no need to lay on a five star, seven course extravaganza but a few cocktail sausages and a couple of cheese and pineapple sticks aren’t going to cut it either.
