Creating the Ideal Resume for Hospital Jobs

It is the applicant’s job to go a step farther and bring their experience to life.

Modify the Objective Statement

Most objective statements tell the recruiter what the applicant wants from the company. The problem with this is that these statements only inform the recruiter about the applicant’s viewpoint. These bullets help the recruiter to quickly read through the application to see if the candidate has the experience level that they want. Since they include numbers and hard data, they make it simple for the recruiter to tell if the applicant can handle the new role.

Keep the White Space

In an effort to find a job, many job seekers cram their resumes with a host of information. This makes it difficult to read the resumes. When it is time to decide on a job candidate, these resumes are passed over in favor of more readable documents. To fix this problem, resumes should contain some white space. This makes it easier to find relevant sections of the resume. The recruiter can scan through the document to find exactly the information that they want. Since the average person spends only 20 seconds looking at the resume, the document has to be easy to read in order to catch their attention.


– Use white space
– Include email address and a phone number
– Review each word for errors and make sure it showcases your skills
– Only bold information like employers or job titles
– Convert the document to a text-only format so it can be read using any program
– Proofread for mistakes and have a friend proofread it as well.

– Do not use headers, boxes or footers that will be lost in formatting and sending
– Avoid typos
– Do not capitalize too many words.
