Top 5 iPhone Real Estate Apps

There are many resources available today for people who are interested in purchasing real estate. In fact, there are so many, it can be difficult to know which ones are the most trustworthy and which ones actually know what they are talking about. Today, we are focusing on iPhone real estate apps, or applications, and which ones are the best to use. This list consists of the top five available on the iPhone and I will explain why each one made the list. I am using a lot of iPhone apps, especially for the business. These ones are sorted by my own experience while I was working on a promotional campaign for one real estate company from NYC.

The first app we are going to look at is Trulia Real Estate. This app is free to download onto your device. Much of the success of this app stems from the success of Trulia in the real estate world. Trulia is one of the most popular real estate search websites today. The Trulia app shows homes for sale and apartments available for rental. With their app, you can see all of the available homes on a map and you can customize your search to fit your needs, whether it is a specific purchase or rental price or a specific location. You can easily track homes that you like and view the property details by clicking on a home. The app is connected to their website and has almost all of the same features.

Since we just looked at the Trulia app, it makes sense to look at the Zillow app. The app is called Real Estate by Zillow and is very similar to the Trulia app. This app is free as well. However, Zillow takes their search option a step further and lets you not only search by city, but also by the neighborhoods in the city. This app included a mortgage calculator and a link to view current mortgage rates in the area. You can view properties by listing agent and even see when open houses are occurring. The Zillow app is very easy to use.
The USHUD iPhone app makes our list because it is the only app that focuses on foreclosure listings. This app is free to download on your device and is extremely easy to navigate. You can easily search for foreclosure listings by state, county, or city. You have the option of filtering the search results by property type, price range, and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms on the property. When you find a listing that you like, you can easily save it to your favorites. Every listing on the app has a link back to the original listing so that you can contact the correct real estate agent to purchase the property or find out more detailed information. Real Estate Search is the highest rated real estate app in the Apple app store and is free to download. It basically offers the same search options as the Trulia app and the Zillow app but automatically saves your searches so you can go back later and view them again. User reviews online rave about how easy it is to use this app and how simple is it to hone in your real estate search.

The last app on our list is the Redfin Real Estate app. It has the same basic search tools as the previous apps on our list, but also has an option to ass a tour list and gives direct links for you to schedule a tour of the home you are interested in. Another bonus of this app is that is shows you the property listing history including any price changes that have occurred.

All of these iPhone apps provide the basics needed for any real estate app. They each have their own unique features that make them stand out. Download one of them, or all of them and have fun searching for your new home or rental!
